There are 16 people who volunteer to do the altar flowers. We are very grateful to them and to Sue Haynes for facilitating the rota. For special festivals a team get together to decorate the church. We are always in need of others to help and they need not be churchgoers, just people who enjoy flowers and the thought of giving the pleasure of flowers to others. Sue Haynes comments:
“St Mary's is a joy to do flowers in and to see the Church transformed into a beautiful place is most rewarding and uplifting.”
Our volunteers keep our eagle lectern and memorial plaques looking their best. If you would be kind enough to help occassionally, please call Pattie.
Contractors are employed to mow the grass in the graveyard, but volunteers attend the rose beds, weeding and tree pruning. Please
Our Church Wardens organise the rota for Sidesmen and Intercessions and Readers We are currently looking for another Church Warden to assist with these rotas and the overall smooth running of our church.
Volunteeers manage the Reading Room bookings and decoration on behalf of the church. Contact Veronica if you are willing to assist.
